Info

Can You Escape Mickey Mouse? Obby is a RetroStudio game created by elcapoto. The goal is to beat an obby themed all about Mickey Mouse and other Retro Dev users and incidents. It's purely just a troll obby, where some stages may trick the player with a special twist. There are a total of 29 checkpoints in the game, each with their respective difficulty level.

The game was ported into Roblox, with a lot more features and stages. After long development hell due to Retro Steamboat (Capoto's development group) mainly focusing on RetroSaken, the port was released on March 22, 2026, as a demo. Though it was later taken down on July 19th because of all Retro Steamboat games being locked to 16+, including the port.

Other Info

The game is purely inspired by Capoto's main profile picture on Discord, which originates from a Roblox obby released somewhere in 2016 or 2017. Capoto considers the obby to be lost media, aswell as not knowing from where she downloaded the picture in November 2022^[1] onto her Google Photos gallery.^[2]

Other users involved with the game's creation are thewildgamer64 (surprise at the end), game_wiz010 (winners area + Mickey Mouse model),Sava071999 (helping out with miscellaneous stuff) and superman641324 (helping with the game's big update).

The three songs that play in the background during gameplay are composed by Jades Rock Band, these being: "Mickey Mouse is Amazing", "Mickey Mouse Country" and "Mickey Mouse Has Magic". They could have been found on the Roblox Creator Marketplace until they became unavailable alongside Jades Rock Band's song videos in February 2026.

On March 2, 2025, the game appeared in a hijacked broadcast. The RetroStudio Admin @m1g_ had to ban the hijacker.

Trivia

The sun in the sky is an edited image of Mickey Mouse to have LeBron James' face in it, while the moon is a picture of Photo Negative Mickey from FNATI.
On stage 6, RetroStudio Admin JoshAmour can be seen as a killer inside a dirt box with a computer showing the time he pinged everyone in the #general channel of the Retro Dev Discord server.
The game at one point was impossible to beat for those who aren't age verified (thus can't use the Chat feature) since stage 8 is a "Name that Character"-type quiz. This was fixed by adding a UI at the bottom left (activated by pressing T or clicking on it) that allows the player to enter the character's respective name into the box, opening the door.
Kloud4k played this game on twitch livestream and was mad about dying non stop
