	―- Game Description

Fennekin Boat Karting 64! (also abbreviated as FBK64) is a racing game created by Agust3K, where you play as Fennekin (the one from Starters, not the actual Pokémon series.) and race against up to 16 other players in an attempt to reach 1st place.

Info

The game has a simple round system, where upon a map loading and the intermission ending, the game teleports all players into the map, in which a countdown starts for 3 seconds. Upon the countdown ending, the actual round starts. Players must complete the amount of laps that the map has (usually 5) to finish the race. Upon reaching the final lap, the music pitches up slightly, and also speeds up. Upon beating the final lap, your placement is shown above your head. Depending on who made it to the finish line before you, your placement varies.

Items

Items are tools you can obtain in a round by hitting an Item Box, which can help you through various ways.

Superball

The Superball is an item in the game that upon use, will make you throw the Superball in the direction where you clicked (or tapped, depending on if you're on mobile or not) your screen. If another player gets hit by the Superball, they get stunned for a few seconds.

The Superball is also able to make you boost forward, however you must make it spawn behind you first, and it must be going the direction that you are trying to go, otherwise it is quite weak. Of course, this isn't the intended way for it to be used, as it is intended as a simple item that you can throw at enemies to slow them down for a bit.

Occasionally, the Superball can also bug out and not stun the player who gets hit by it. The reason for this could be that the script stopped working for some reason, however the true reason is unknown.

Banana

The Banana is an item in the game that will drop itself upon use. Anyone who comes into contact with it will be stunned for a few seconds.

Before the 1.2_1A update, the Banana was able to let you make turns that were otherwise hard to make. The cause of the bug was the mass of the item. When the 1.2A update came out, the Banana was shadow nerfed, specifically its tool size was changed to make the mass of the item not be how it was before the nerf. Before 1.2_1A came out, Agust3K held a poll in the Fennekin Boat Karting 64 community server on if the bug was going to be removed or kept in the game. The final outcome of the poll was that it was to be removed from the game. When 1.2_1A was released, the bug was removed, however the normal steering without the banana was changed to be less slippery as compensation.

Feather

The Feather is an item in the game that makes you jump into the air upon use. The item is well known for it being able to be used to make big shortcuts, specifically the ones in Seawater Speedway (Before 1.2A) and Retro Dev Circuit (Before 1.2_1A).

The Feather is also notorious for occasionally not functioning. Sometimes it not functioning can just be thought to be the player using it holding down the space bar, causing the feather to not work, however when it stops working other times is a mystery.

The icon of the tool is also a reference, as the Feather in this game uses the Cape Feather's sprite from Super Mario World.

Sonic

Sonic is an item in the game that speeds you up as if there you used a Boost Panel, and also plays the same sound as a Boost Panel upon use. Using the item while on a Boost Panel will make either the Boost Panel boost you forward and make you keep the Sonic item, or make the Sonic item get used and stopping the Boost Panel from working, so tread carefully when using this item on a Boost Panel!

The item itself is a reference to Sonic (obviously), as the icon uses an image of Sonic the Hedgehog boosting forward. The model of the item also uses a mesh of Sonic from Sonic R.

The game has 4 badges currently in it.

Trivia

The game was originally going to be a completely different game called SUPER FENNEKIN BROS, which would actively ragebait you as you play it. However, this idea fell through and was scrapped, and the game was replaced with what we now know as Fennekin Boat Karting 64.
During the first five minutes of 1.2A being out, the leaderboard in The Lobby had all of the placements have the 3 decal over them. This was quickly fixed. What came out of this bug was the 3 skin, which was available until 1.3.
