Not to be confused with Retroton Hotel or the actual Hilton Hotel on Roblox.

Info

Hilton Hotel | V2 was a discontinued hotel game part of the Retroton Hotel franchise, founded by iiMarou, later being integrated with TriPlusse Studios, where it stood as the second most popular game of the TriPlusse line behind Retroton Hotel and above Flood Escape 2010 and Retro Arsenal. The game's creation date was on December 10, 2022, but it remained closed for 1 and a half years until the game's official release as an independent game on August 29th, 2024. The game would also suffer a month-long hiatus of updates due to iiMarou's month-long ban from RetroStudio until he would appeal to Retro Dev.

The game is vastly similar to a version of Retroton V3, however there are noticeable differences such as no spa, no penthouses or ocean bungalows, and including a VIP Lounge that Retroton does not have. Other than that, Retroton and Hilton are pretty much the same without any other major differences.

Popularity through Livestreams - ExpertRetro

Hilton gained its popularity through multiple livestreams on YouTube by multiple livestreamers, including TrueJohn2009, ExpertRetro, etc.

On October 26th, 2024, ExpertRetro, aka fancycmoneyfreshman0, played Hilton Hotel by a suggestion by boriisyeItsin, who would later become Lead Developer through the Retroton group. Hilton reported a peak of 30 players that day, contributing to Hilton and Retroton's popularity throughout 2024/5. ExpertRetro would go on to do multiple more livestreams on both Retroton and Hilton, even getting hired as a staff member in February 2025.

November 2024 Update

On November 1st, 2024, Hilton Hotel received a massive update. The design was changed from a skinned version of Retroton Hotel V15, aka V2, to an actual ported version of Hilton Hotel, with slight improvisations due to problems with importing to RetroStudio. The day after, the game hit 500 visits.

The new version included RetroLifts Nova V6 by vopwn55, a VIP Lounge, better room design, a fitness room, a beach, and the snackbar was made more compact. The new version would attract more people than the skinned Retroton, getting the game 1.5K visits in total before its downfall.

Downfall

Hilton Hotel would suffer minimal updates in December 2024 due to the release of Retroton Hotel V3, aka V16. In January 2025, iiMarou received a takedown request from Hilton Worldwide because it used its name, and almost faced deletion due to reports about inappropriate behavior relating to "Diddy Parties." The HR Team severely cracked down on inappropriate behavior because of this, and ExpertRetro created a stream by the name of "i might get banned soon?" addressing his relation with the Diddy Parties and stated they were "just jokes" and did not know that people would "run off with his joke and make it actually inappropriate."

Around March 29, 2025, iiMarou officially announced that Hilton would no longer receive any major updates due to "problematic events," possibly relating to an incident where former staff member aLLDragon49 attempted to ban fancycmoneyfreshman0 for being immature during his stream raids. The game name was changed to "[ARCHIVED] Hilton Hotel | V2."

On July 16, 2026, iiMarou and kirstenreflux closed the game down in response to the new Roblox update. The game was privated and the description was changed to:

"If you found this game: welcome back, stalker. Unfortunately because of the problematic events, lack of motivation to optimize this game to comply with new RetroStudio rules, the TriPlusse Development Team has decided to close the game down for good.

Don't expect this to be public ever again. Play Retroton Hotel on iiMarou's profile, which is compliant to the rules of RetroStudio and Roblox ToS.

It is highly unlikely Hilton V2 will come back.

Trivia

Since Hilton Hotel is part of the Retroton Franchise and TriPlusse Studios, staff can get a job through Retroton and work at Hilton as normal.
This game used to be an archive of Retroton V1, but after it was closed and re-opened, it became a recreation of Roblox Hilton Hotel from May 15, 2016 to July 29, 2016.
