“	"Do you guys wanna know why I made obby creator? I don't see a lot of people making games. Some do of course, but not enough I thought. So, my game serves as an alternative to building whatever players like."	”
―A quote from DiamondDrencher, explaining to some players why he had made Obby Creator in the first place.

Welcome To Obby Creator

Obby Creator (RetroStudio) is a building/obby game created by DiamondDrencher on the 16th of August 2025, and is still being updated to this day. It's based on an already-existing Roblox game with an identical title, and looks like a near duplicate of it when put into comparison.

The game has almost reached 200K+ visits since its Alpha release back in February 2026, and currently sits at roughly #70th place in the Most Visited page.

You are able to create your own obbies upon touching a plot's gate, and have players try them out, and vice versa. You are also able to load in anyone's obby even if they're offline, by typing in their username/userID in the Select Save File menu; These kinds of loaded obbies are labelled as "Foreign". Foreign obbies cannot be dis/liked, and are made obvious via changing the colour of the plot owner text to red.

The game once began just like how every other game began... with one baseplate. A few minutes went in on designing the billboards and plot gates. Despite the owner being a perfectionist and having impressive skills in major areas, scripting is his favourite. He had spent weeks altogether designing two Main scripts, server and local, as well as other minor scripts along the way. The models and UIs, despite looking subjectively very good, did not take that long for the owner to make, as his main property was ensuring the game ran smooth and secure.

Gameplay

If joining for the first time, a tutorial begins as soon as the game detects any input from you, freezing your character in place and therefore forcing your attention. You are carried through some of the game's mechanics, like how to use the Teleport button, how to load your save slots, and (most importantly) how to build your own obby. The tutorial finishes once you have gone through all six of your building tools.
