On February 28, 2025, at around 11:35 PM EST, an exploiter named retrorobloxgamer2025 managed to exploit the dev product system security to make dev products on a negative number. This means that the dev product gave money to the people who got it but stole from the original creator. After publishing his game, which is currently unknown, the game began to severely gain popularity, with the max players being around 80. Admins eventually noticed this game, and terminated the place and owner on 11:46 PM EST^[1], lasting 11 minutes. This caused a huge problem with the retrobux economy. This is because many people got over 100M retrobux total^[2], and some even spent it all in the catalog, causing a severe crisis. Currently, some of the game's features are unknown and are yet to be found.

Appearance

Example of the retrobux falling down in a solo server.

The game was a normal baseplate with 3 speed changers. With that. there was retrobux falling from the sky. Touching it would give you a dev product sign, which you could buy. If you did buy it, you would get the amount of retrobux it said it would give you and instead take away from the developer. After this, a notification would pop up saying your user and how much you got. There were 3 types of retrobux, are changing in height based off of how much you would get. The tiny one would give off 10,000 retrobux, the second one would give off 25,000 retrobux, and the large one would give you 10,000,000 retrobux. You could grab these in solo servers^[3].

Trivia

Ayray said whoever used this Retrobux glitch would be banned. ^[4]
A total of 107 ^[5] people got banned for about 14 hours.
After the ban wave, every player got their retrobux and items reverted back into when the glitch started.
The highest documented person who got the most retrobux out of this glitch was OxenFreeO with 140M retrobux.^[6]
After you got banned, the message you received was "We've detected retrobux manipulation on this account. This will be reviewed by our admins, and the ban will be undone if you are innocent.."^[7]
During the ban, Ayray accidentally banned himself during the ban wave.^[8]
An anonymous person still has the copy of the game, with everything in it, except the dev products don't work anymore.
This exploit got patched the minute Ayray found out about it.
The game's title and description are currently unknown, since the game got terminated.
The image you're seeing on the right is how the game looks like as a copy.
