sage_flugel, formerly noobslikericeIsBaned (Roblox) and coreopsis_verticillata (Discord), or otherwise known as novisla, is in highschool and is infamous for "Pick A Side" and on a lighter note "chill on a ship". Once holding an Esteemed Architect and 16 games, they joined RetroStudio on March 2, 2021.

Sage was permanently banned from Retro Dev on February 19, 2024 after posting cropped NSFW. Sage declared inactivity from RetroStudio on January 1, 2025.

They continue to be notorious in other Roblox communities.

Info

In March 2021, their first game was created in inspiration by Competitor by righiko, a user who inspired them to make a game.^[1] They owned a private Discord server with 7 users and 5 bots. Departure message below:

My Final Message
Thanks for the memories, everyone. Out of all the games I've made, chill on a ship was the game I had fun with the most. Farewell.

Special thanks to: Steamboat_WiIIie, 6xi1e, poapoaps, & MartinArthur"

Sage's games † = Private
Name	Creation	Last Updated	Visits (02/2026)	Summary
Pick a Side	July 17, 2023	January 2025	322,000	Players pick a side with player submitted questions, then fight for their point. Pick a Side has become heavily infamous for often TOS-violating questions. Briefly privated in September-November 2024.
Chill on a ship	September 5, 2022	2025	24,000	A roleplay game set on a passenger ship. Sometimes events occur such as the boat sinking. At some point, the lighting in the game broke. A once more popular and featured version was privated.
†Would you rather?	???	???	???	A precursor to Pick a Side. More rugged. Slenderman stood outside a window.
†Classic tower defence	???	???	???	Survive 45 waves of increasing amounts of enemies. The towers are similar to a non-Retrostudio game called "Tower Defense Simulator".
DIVINE JUDGEMENT	April 5, 2021	2024	1,500	Once a sub-place for Pick a Side. "god", an NPC with neon white Shaggy hair, grabs the player and flies to a towering pillar. There is an unreadable note and 3 broken tools. The player is then killed and kicked with the reason: "i love god"
Plains	November 2, 2021	2024	1,000	A short first-person horror game. Stranded in the dark, the player has a flashlight. They follow directions given by notes on logs, leading to a treasure, rewarding a badge. There is a random chance the player will be killed among their path. This was a subplace used by Sage to teleport mass amounts of players to, especially from Pick A Side.
[WINTER] Reason 2 Die	April 18, 2021	2023	1,400	Remake of a 2016 game of the same name by PlaceRebuilder. There are 5 weapons and the map was built by MartinArthur.
Elemental Wars	April 11, 2021	2023	400	Based on "Elemental Battlegrounds" by mygame43, who would go on to make Blox Fruits. Six elements are given, each with four abilities. Instructions are provided aswell. The elements include: Ice, Light, Water, Death, Darkness, and Space.
Splitting Sinking Ship	April 5, 2021	2024	400	A very old version of chill on a ship. After a bit of time, players have 80 seconds to survive a sinking ship.
Old and bad guns	December 16, 2021	2024	400	A broken game for testing guns.
Lag Test 2022	November 28, 2021	2023	300	Tests the limits of a computer on the client's side by spawning bricks.
†Sanctuary	???	???	???	Absolutely not similar to Plains. This game was a subplace used by Sage to teleport two players to; these players were then required to sacrifice one amongst themselves-- leading the other player to get a free badge.
[WIP] Reactor Test	April 18, 2021	2023	100	2 models. One is a button door and the other a nuclear reactor. Temperature slowly increases, exploding and killing everyone at 2000 Kelvin.
†Seatrip	???	???	???	Unknown
+	July 5, 2021	2024	100	An ordinary obby. It might be troubling for some with cruel timing. Winners get a "WIN" badge.
Deep Rock Galactic	May 4, 2024	2025	20	Based on the game of the same name, A team of 1-4 people dig blocks, fight off enemies, and procedural generation. It was likely never finished.
