The Hatch, known as The Hatch Quest, was the RetroStudio's quest in getting an egg, more specifically a Darkness one. The event was created for The Hatch Roblox event, which was developed by 1,000 developers and featured 367 experiences. Its quest was only accessible from joining from the Darkness Biome portal in The Hatch, which made RetroStudio of the many games in that entire biome.

Quest

The player needed to step into the time machine to travel from 2013 to 2018, where there would be an obby in the city crumbling from the invasion of "Robloxian 4.0"; a fictional Roblox bundle that was evil and killed characters. At the end of the obby was the egg but was covered by "Robloxian 4.0" characters. The player had to hop on a plane in noob colours to travel to an obby at a cosmodrome and get to the rocketship. At space, the player had to jump on space rocks and get to the Roblox HQ, where there would be a button permanently removing "Robloxian 4.0" and taking to the restored city. There they claimed the egg.

After completion, the player would be rewarded 1000 if they entered RetroStudio via the Pop Up.

Badge

When completed, the quest awarded the following badge:

Icon	Name	Description	Objective	Awarded
The Hatch	Earn this badge by completing The Hatch quest in RetroStudio!	Enter The Hatch Darkness Biome, enter RetroStudio and Complete the Obby and collect the egg.	235,839
