Info

The Stronghold is a game made for the Giftsplosion 2025 event. Entering the "Visio Nocturna" promocode is the only way to join the game. The player is tasked to collect 12 presents around the Santa's Winter Stronghold map without getting caught by Krampus or dying in any other way to obtain the now-opened Cursed Gift of Memento Mori.

Gameplay

After you redeem the code; "Visio Nocturna", You will get sent into The Stronghold. Your objective is to find 12 gifts without dying in any way. However, there is another harmful entity, that being Krampus. Krampus will spawn near you every once in a while, making strange noises. To get rid of Krampus, you need to either flash it with your flashlight or approach it. Once you find all 12 gifts, An exit will appear near where you Spawn, which you can then go through the exit, beating the game and thus getting the now-unobtainable gift.

List of Characters

Demarcus Cruz, also known as Scavenger, is the main playable character. He works for a company that consists of scavenging artifacts.

Krampus is the "monster" that attempts to kill and pursues Demarcus Cruz. Krampus, when spawning, will emit very strange noises, which is a very reliable way to find it. Krampus can be vanquished by either being flashed by the flashlight, or approaching it.

Crampus is a very minor secret joke character, said to be "the evil brother of Krampus". Touching it will award the "Technical Foul" badge.

Trivia

This game is similar to Slender The Eight pages, a 2012 Game where you can find 8 pages.
Despite Lotakune being cited as the place creator, Ultrajesus10 and RoyaIt33 were more involved in developing the place.
This place was also supposed to be in Giftsplosion 2024 but was scrapped due to Krampus' AI taking too long to script.
The "Technical Foul" badge is a reference to the 'That's a Technical Foul!' song from Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights (2002).
The four ciphers shown after getting all 12 gifts without dying can be deciphered to; "I applaud for your efforts." "You proved yourself you are capable of tasks like these." "Torment shall begone." "I bid farewell, Demarcus Cruz."
The latin sentence shown in the error mesage can be translated to "You have lost. The creature of the night still roams."
There is an easter egg found on the map, written by Royait33. It reads; "hi its me royait33 i made krampus placed the gifts and fixed the map up a bit. ping me if you find this, that'd be cool".
