Description

WHO MURDERD BILL GATES OBBY is an obby game based on the old trend of "who killed ___ obbies" that involve solving a mystery about a dead character(mainly from across the internet) by completing obby stages that was popular from the late 2000s to the early 2010s. It was created by the RetroStudio player TeapotWizard on April 24, 2022. The place is uncopylocked, meaning anybody may create their own place of this game. This game is on the Featured list.

Gameplay/Plot

The player spawns at the starting area with a VIP room, a few avatars nearby acting as signs, and a crime scene where one can find Bill Gates' dead body, with a cop, the wife and her newborn child. Apparently, all the players are great hackers and are tasked by the police to solve the mystery of Bill Gates' death.

Upon reaching the end of the computer, one enters the obby. The first couple of stages are typical obby stages found across Roblox although themed around computers, mainly Windows XP.

On stage 5, the hacker returns to the real world. It seems all the evidence on the computer has been deleted, and police now ask him to find Bill Gates' to talk to him on how he died. To do this, one must jump in a shallow pit to enter hell.

Once in hell, the devil instructs the player to complete more obby stages(or his "trials") so that they can speak with the dead(Bill Gates). At the end of this first trial, the devil trolls the player by making them think they have finished the evil trials. Nearing the end of trials, the Devil informs the player that Bill Gates is actually alive, and brings the player to meet Bill Gates. Before that, Gordon Ramsay steps in and instructs him to survive jumping over the raw chicken. Once the player does, they must go into a kitchen where the floor is lava and they must gather ingredients to make a salad. Finally, they jump over one last raw chicken to reach the Devil's catapult aimed at the direction of Bill Gates.

When the player reaches their destination, it appears to be a secret office with computer desks operated by robot versions of Bill Gates. Upon reaching Bill Gates himself, the player learns that he faked his death for tax evasion, and buys a private island to strand the player on. The private island is the winner's zone, which consists many typical things found at a winners area including color paths, free faces, hat removers, vending machines, speed boosters, etcetera.

VIP Room

The VIP room is only available to those who purchase the VIP pants, but these are nowhere to be found neither in the game nor Retrostudio(see trivia). Upon entry, there is body armor that sets their max health to 500(not exactly sure), a Bloxy Cola giver, and an Epic Face face giver.

Trivia

Dog Gates can be found where the police are several times. Hilariously enough, all the family members have a face of Bill Gates plastered on their heads.
The VIP room, which requires buying the creator's VIP pants, is easily abusable by going to the end of the right wall where this is a gap big enough to fit a player.
On stage nine, there is a couch if the player wants to rest for a bit.
At random occasions, jumping over a raw chicken leg will play a meme sound effect... that I know but I just don't know the name of. Somebody, please add details
By using the "Click to Teleport" tool at the winner's area, one can teleport back to spawn to escape the private island if it is properly done.
